I have to say, that taking a year away from everything is a tempting endeavor.  When I heard from Sam that he and Jess were taking a year off to see the country, taking their kids across this great nation… I was envious.

I have worked with Sam, and have always found him to have a great sense of humor.  His ability to laugh at just about anything, I think, would make him an excellent candidate for a road-trip partner.  With this, I have also seen his sense of being and his ability to understand a situation.  I wish I had the current ability to pack up and go for a year with the family across this great nation.  I think I may have to put this idea in the crock-pot and let it simmer for a bit.  Taking the girls cross-country when they are older (old enough to appreciate the things they were seeing) may grow on me.

In the meantime, Sam and family… I hope that you have nothing but a smooth trip.  I will not say that I wish you an uneventful journey, as adversity on a trip is what creates memories.  See you soon!
